Fishing Story

I know I need to be better about taking my camera everywhere we go and taking more pictures BUT with 4 kiddos I have a hard time remembering it along with everything else!!
Yesterday we took the kids fishing (minus Lainee, she stayed with my parents). Carlee Jo caught her 1st fish and it was too funny how she reacted!! I was watching her line and I could see a fish fixing to bite her bait. I said "Carlee Jo I think your fixing to get a bite" Carlee Jo, "NO! I don't want to catch a fish" About that time the fish took her bait....I said "Carlee Jo you got one...real it in!" She FREAKED out, dropped her pole and took off running to the truck! LOL I was laughing so hard I couldn't pick her pole up! Clayton ran over and realed it in for her and she caught a BIG BASS. I couldn't believe that it didn't break her little barbie poll. She didn't want to look at it or touch it! BUT she did make sure she rubbed it in to her brothers that she caught the 1st fish!!
We ended up fishing about 3 hours and caught 20 bass....so guess what we will be eating next weekend when Dylan comes back!! Mmmmm...I'm looking forward to it!!

Lainee

In exactly 25 days my day girl will be 1 year old! I can't believe this year has gone by so fast! An update on her... She weights 17 lbs & 8 oz and she's 28 inches long. She's so much smaller than my other babies. She has 3 teeth, 1 on the bottom on 2 on top. She cut the 1st one on the bottom then the 2nd on top (on the left side). She's been walking now for about 3 months, which made me very sad cause I wanted her to stay a baby as long as possible. She's wearing a size 6 months clothes and a size 2 diapher. She can say anything she wants to say but doesn't really talk much, (hard to get a word in with the others LOL). She's a very good baby, sleeps all night, pretty much only cries when she's hungry or tired, LOVES to sing and dance! I LOVE the fact that she still wants to be rocked when it's time to go to sleep, I charish these moments because I know she won't want it forever and she IS my last baby! I can say from experience with my other babies they grow up TOO fast!! I have included some recent pictures I just took of her on Friday at Carlee Jo's program....

I thank GOD everyday for blessing our family with Lainee. As I do my other children! I love them soooo much and they are all VERY special to Clayton and I!!

Carlee Jo

Carlee Jo had her very first program on Friday for Rainbow School. She really enjoyed it!! She thought everything had to be just right...Thursday night I rolled her hair in sponge rollers (I know child abuse but she begged me to do it), Friday morning while I was taking the rollers out her hands and feet were soaking for her manicure and pedicure. She kept telling me how glad she was her Mom was a hairdresser so she could have these things done! Little does she know I would do them anyways! Did I mention that we HAD to go buy a new dress too?? GIRLS!! Here are some of the pictures I took....

Thank you Mrs. Cindy and Mrs. Linda for making our first year of "school" so wonderful!! Carlee Jo will be going to pre-school next year...we haven't made a decision where and how many days a week. She will for sure be going back to the Rainbow School on Fridays. I'm not ready for her to be so big! But I am thankful I had her in Sept. so I can keep her home 1 more year!! She is soooo ready for Kindergarden!

I BELIEVE FRIDAY.....

I BELIEVE that there needs to be more hours in a day so I can get every done!!
I BELIEVE that I need to learn how to tell people NO!! AND the list goes on in on!!


YEA ME!! Two weeks in a row!!
I PROMISE I am going to make time to post an update on the kids!! I took Lainee and had her weighed so I can finally tell ya'll her size!!

I really enjoy listening to 96.9 on Fridays because they have "I BELIEVE FRIDAY" where people call in and start their sentence "I BELIEVE" and finish with whatever they want. I enjoy it so much that I have decided to start a "I BELIEVE" Friday on my blog. I think it will be fun and it will keep me posting something at least!! LOL PLEASE JOIN ME!! I THINK IT WILL BE FUN!

My Dear Friend Kellie

Last Saturday night I helped hostess a Wedding Reception/Shower for my dear friend Kellie and her husband Michael Potts. Michael and Kellie "ran away" last month and got married! CONGRATULATIONS MICHAEL AND KELLIE!!! I have faith y'all will be as happy as Clayton & I!

I am going to follow suit on Kelly's blog and tell you some things I praise God for EVERY day!! I know with times being so tuff it's hard to keep on track and remember there are LOTS of things to be THANKFUL for!! I'm not gonna add pictures like she did but here goes.....

1. God is a forgiving God
2. A Wonderful Husband that works hard to keep a roof over our head and food on the table for us. And he loves me and our children unconditionally!!
3. God chose me to be the mother of 4 wonderful, heathly Children....Dylan, Blake, Carlee Jo, & Lainee...they bring such JOY to my life!!
4. ALL my other family and my friends....the too bring lots of JOY to my life!!
5. My Church and Church Family
6. My Job and the Lady's I work with

Things that make my HAPPY.......
Alone time with my Hubby, my children laughing, Dr. Pepper from Herchels, Yellowbox flip flops, my computer, navigation, microdermabrasion, hair color, make up, Spring/Fall weather, VACATIONS, having my house cleaned, Two Senoritas, having my hair done, kisses and hugs from my hubby and children, being so busy at work that I can't sit down, internet, finding money in my jacket from last year, everyone getting alone and not fighting, a good love story, bible study with my family, family time, supper time, Saturdays, naps........and many more!!

Just remember to PRAISE GOD everyday for all that you do have and try hard not to dwell on what you don't have!!

HAVE A SIX FLAGS DAY!!!

Yesterday we loaded up and went to Dallas to spend the day at Six Flags and yes it was the WHOLE day!! We opened the place up and closed it down! We had soooo much fun and the weather was PERFECT! I was so blessed to spend the day with 2 of my kids, my Sister, Brother and their kids. The kiddos had a BLAST and us big kiddos had our fair share of a good time too!! I wish I could share ALL the pictures I took but I think I took over 200 of them so I just picked out some of my favorites. And YES there are more pictures of Carlee Jo but it was her first time to go and since Clayton couldn't go I wanted to capture everything I could for him! ENJOY!!!

Harts Bluff Open House

Blake performed in the annual Open House at Harts Bluff. The 5th graders have been learning how to play a "Recorder" all year. Mrs. Kessler does a GREAT job with these kids and they love music....they played songs like "Mary had a Little Lamb" and "Amazing Grace"......One thing that I LOVE about Harts Bluff is the fact that they still have God in their school!! That means ALOT these days!!

1 good reason I am proud to be from Texas and I LOVE living out in the country!! GOD blesses us with some BEAUTIFUL seenary!!

YOU KNOW YOUR GETTING OLD WHEN......

You know your getting old when you are ask to chaperon a dance!! Or at least that's how I felt when my 13 year old niece called and asked me to chaperon her dance at school Friday night!! I didn't have a clue what to do!! LOL I ask Clayton, "What do I do?? Make sure they don't dance too close? or Make sure they don't smooch??" LOL After I got in there I figured out I didn't have to do much! The dance was for 6th, 7th & 8th graders at Harts Bluff and they are all pretty good kids. I really enjoyed watching them have a GREAT time!! Of course it started out like most dances I remember when we were in school, NO ONE wanted to dance at first....Boys on one side and Girls on the other. I just chuckled under my breath and encouraged them to DANCE!! Brianna IS making me feel really old, she's graduating 8th grade this year. Then on to high school next year....I believe she's going to Mt. Pleasant High School next year. I add some pictures of Brianna and her friends...Brianna is the BEAUTIFUL girl in the white dress. (I'm not partial or anything!! LOL) I didn't take a lot of pictures because Brianna said I was embarrassing her by taking them!! As a parent that's my job right???

UPDATES ON LAINEE

Lainee will be 8 months old in 6 days. She's growing so FAST!! She started crawling right before she turned 7 months old and is now pulling up and walking around the furniture. Every now and then she lets so and takes a step. Last night she let go and stood for about 10 seconds before she fell down AND she tried to crawl up on my end table!! I'm afraid I'm going to have a monkey on my hands! LOL I really figure she will be walking by 9 months old. Blake and Carlee Jo both walked that early too. She doesn't have any teeth yet but that's okay with me...she has been trying to get them for several months now and I'm ready for them to come in so she won't be in so much pain anymore. Even though I have 4 kiddos (actually 9 if you include my neices and nephews that I have watched grow!) I am still amazed how much they learn so quickly and how fast they grow! I LOVE to watch them learn new things and master doing them!! My children are TRUE gifts from GOD and I praise him everyday for Blessing me with them!! I have added some pictures of Lainee...
